Meet Pastor Denver
Pastor Denver was born in Hazard Kentucky and lived in that area until the death of his father in 1985 at which time his mom moved him and his sister to Anderson, IN. It was there that Denver met his wife Marcia. Together they have three boys, Bejamin Denver (3 yr. old), Caleb Robert (2 yr. old) and Eli William (infant).
At the age of sixteen Pastor Denver gave his life to Jesus Christ during an ivitation time at his home church in Anderson. After his baptism later that year, God began to impress upon him the call to full-time Christian work. He later understood that call to be a very real and urgent call into the ministry as a preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Denver came to MCCOG from Southern Illinois were he was pastoring full-time at the First Church of God, West Frankfort. Before that he was the interim pastor for almost two years in Marion, IN.
Pastor Denver preaches a conservative, biblical gospel message, with a goal in mind to reach as many people for Jesus Christ as possible. He places great emphasis on discipleship and the "Great Commission".
